Why did we choose to work in Uttarakhand ?

Char Dham Yatra
Current State of Uttarakhand

95% of the population below the poverty line, almost total illiteracy, no infrastructure, no government aid, pitiable living conditions. Yet there are no anti-social or anti-national activities in existence. Poverty plays an important role in triggering anti-national activities and we believe that our timely intervention will save such villages in becoming anti-national.

Rough terrain, no roads, primitive modes of transportation and lack of communication facilities make this part of the country completely inaccessible to the rest of the country. As a result Government and other NGO aid is hard to reach.

If we choose to neglect Uttarakhand then it is just a matter of time before anti-social & anti-national elements invade this pious land of the gods and destroy it forever.

It is here that Satvik Foundation chose to start it's work. To know more about our work, click here.
